The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has recently announced a series of public hearings for the I-710 Corridor Project as part of the draft EIR/EIS process. Caltrans is working in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), the Gateways Cities Council of Governments, the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), and the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to make improvements to the I-710 freeway corridor from port area at Ocean Boulevard to the SR-60 in the East Los Angeles area. The I-710 Corridor includes several OLDA cities, including Bell, Cudahy, Huntington Park, Maywood, Paramount, South Gate, and Vernon.
Three public hearings will be held as follows:
Tuesday August 7, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Progress Park,15500 Downey Ave Paramount, CA 90723
Wednesday August 8, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Silverado Park Community Center, 1545 W 31st St Long Beach, CA 90810
Thursday August 9, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Rosewood Park, 5600 Harbor St Commerce, CA 900040
